Vijay Singh-World's No 1 Golfer

Today I read about Najib's remark that says that if Vijay Singh had become a Malaysian citizen, he would never have become the world's no 1 golfer. I agree entirely with Najib's statement. Had Vijay been a Malaysian, living in a Malaysian environment, the highest honour he could have attained would be a Club Champion, or even a Malaysian champion. He would be working as an honorary club captain in one of the better golf clubs, getting fat, and spending most of his time drinking at the golf club, discussing with the likes of Serbegeth Singh, over anything about everything, and of course be given a Datukship and some business incentives for his contribution to golf. Vijay would be just like any other Malaysian sportsman in the past who never made it big in the international circuit. This is not to say that Vijay is lacking in talent as he had emphatically proven otherwise.

The fact that had he been a Malaysian, the determination to be a sportsman par excellence is simply not there as he would have been spoiled rotten by the Malaysian environment.

Sean Connery

I am dismayed at the recent behaviour of Sean Connery, the suave first James Bond, that caught my attention yesterday. The news report says that Sean Connery is a bullying neighbour to a family who live below him in a 6-story townhouse in New York. He renovated his premises with undue regard for the noise and the mess he created. The daughter of the occupant in the lower floor once knocked at his door to request him to tone down the noise. Sean Connery reacted in an ungentlemanly way. When he opened the door, Connery's " appearance and behaviour was that of a rude, foul-mouthed, fat old man". Connery is also in debt to the tune of USD 15,747 for not paying his maintenance and utility bills.
He has apparently lost his gentlemaness in his old age. He is now nothing but a cantankerous old man and not worth my admiration any more.

Slow blogs

Its frustrating to work on a laptop computer. The response times are slow compared to a standard desk top. Not that my laptop is below spec, it is in fact quite powerful-with 1g of memory, powered by P4 2.6 Ghz CPU. I am frustrated at the slow loading time, at the "time out" messages, and a host of other things such as "previousing" and "nexting" to pages.

Rolling On The Floor

Hello friend,
I tried your new dance and was happy with it. I am trying to teach all my friends on this new dance. By the way, its better to do the dance on a carpetted floor, rather than on a concrete floor. The reason is obvious.
